SureSmile® Clear Aligners in Winnipeg
If you’ve been putting off orthodontic treatment because of traditional braces, SureSmile® Clear Aligners may be the ideal solution. These nearly invisible aligners offer a convenient and comfortable alternative, allowing you to eat, drink, and live with fewer restrictions.
SureSmile® Clear Aligners are a great option for both teens and adults looking to enhance their smile and improve bite alignment. At Pristine Dental Group in Winnipeg, we’ll guide you through the entire process—from your first consultation to your final aligner—to help you achieve a straighter, more confident smile.

How SureSmile® Aligners Work
SureSmile® Clear Aligners use custom-fitted, removable trays to gently shift your teeth into alignment. Unlike with traditional braces, getting fitted with these aligners does not involve metal brackets or wires. Each aligner is designed using advanced 3D imaging to ensure a precise fit and targeted results.
As your teeth gradually move, you’ll receive a new set of aligners approximately every two weeks. For best results, aligners should be worn for a minimum of 22 hours a day.

Your SureSmile® Journey at Pristine Dental Group
Step 1: Consultation
Your journey starts with a detailed consultation at our Winnipeg clinic. We’ll assess your teeth and bite, explain how SureSmile® works, and answer any questions you have—so you can move forward with confidence.
Step 2: Digital Impressions & Treatment Plan
If you choose to proceed, we’ll take a 3D scan of your teeth to create your personalized treatment plan. These digital images are used to craft your custom aligners and map out the step-by-step movements of your teeth.
Step 3: Fitting Your Aligners
Once your aligners are ready (usually within a few weeks), we’ll schedule your fitting. We ensure each aligner fits securely and comfortably, with edges trimmed to match your gum line. While there may be a short adjustment period, the aligners are made from a smooth, flexible plastic designed for ease of wear.
Step 4: Progress & Follow-Ups
You’ll be asked to book follow-up appointments every four weeks. This will allow your dentist to keep an eye on your progress and provide you with replacements for your aligners. These check-ins help us ensure your treatment stays on track and delivers the best possible results.

Caring for Your Aligners
Proper care is important to preserve the strength and functionality of your aligners. It also helps protect your teeth. During your fitting appointment, we’ll review maintenance tips, including the following:
-
Remove your aligners before eating or drinking. You may keep them on to drink water, though.
-
Keep them in their case when you’re not wearing them.
-
Rinse and gently brush them daily with a soft toothbrush.
-
Always brush and floss your teeth to remove debris before reinserting the aligners.
